The Johnson Controls A99BB-200 Silicon Sensor is a small temperature sensor used in HVAC systems. This sensor has a small probe that is made of stainless steel; it must be installed in air ducts or any other part of the HVAC system. The probe is only 0.25" in diameter and 2.0" long and thus would not interfere much with the airflow. The probe consists of a silicon thermistor and a resistor that alters its electrical resistance according to temperature. But increases in cooler settings only. It is intended for surface mounting and comes with a 6.5-foot PVC insulated cable for connection to HVAC control systems.
