The Trane MOT17982 is another commercial electric motor constructed for a wide variety of use with HVAC equipment systems. Specifically, it’s a three-phase motor, it means that it needs three-phase electricity to power it, which is a standby in industries and large structures. It offers a much-needed 1/2 horsepower rating for powerful yet energy-efficient operation of the driving fan and compressor as well other rotating parts in HVAC systems. The motor utilises a 460-volt power supply which is much higher as compared to voltage used in a standard home.
